Rods to hold up engine cover and front bonnet

Hi all,

My car didn't come with any rods to hold open the front bonnet or the rear engine cover. Does anyone have 2 spare that I could purchase, or is it something I can make up. The problem is I'm not sure exactly what they look like.

Is someone able to post a picture?

Regards
Paul

engine deck lid relies on a spring mechanism attached to the top of the lid.
front one relies on a latching arm on the lhs that you lock into place when bonnet raised.

Pault,
My CB has the rods front and rear. I believe I have a spare but I have to check my shop in a few days. I will let you know.

Think your thinking of a beetle.

Country buggies has fixed rods both front and rear.

Hey thanks guys for the responses. I think I'd be stuck without this forum.

Erich if you have some spares for sale just let me know and I'll send the money.

Thanks once again.
