BUG ME PLZ
Hi folks, Ok who's got some nice looking pics of 68-79 bugs and supers? prob gonna get me one soon and need some inspiration. any styles out there i
may not know of?whats this German look i hear of?i like the aero guards but they can only fit the 68-71 right?should i rule out the superbug cos of
the vents in the back pillars possibly causing rust? or is it not that bad?i do like the supers. tell me everything..........
.........Cheers

Hey There!!!
I've got Aero guards on my 74 L Bug, they are designed to fit all Superbugs, so it doesnt matter what year you decide to get
Rust is going to be a problem with probably any beetle you get, whether it be around the C Pillar near the rear window or even the heater channels. I
had the foam insulation in my Mildred, but when i started restoring her we got it all out anyway. All model beetles have nooks and crannys where water
gets in and sits (decklids and vents are good for this), so in the end its totally up to you what year you decide. I have a preference for later model
beetles out of the superbugs as i like the padded dash and bigger elephant foot tail lights.
Here is a link to my project, i have recently moved to Brisvegas, so she is still stuck in Perth, but shouldn't be too long until she's over
hopefully! You will see some mods i've done to her, like Mirrors, brake set up, engine conversion, body kit etc... She's a bit german looker....

Goes to show that you shouldnt believe everything you hear. The aero guards dont have predrilled holes. They have indents as a guide, but being
fibreglass guards it doesnt matter anyway as you should line them up a mark your own to be drilled like i did.

Hi Ash
Did you get the radiator and line in your car yet? If you did I would be keen to see some pics of how they fit. Or even some updated pic of the
project.
cheers

this link takes you to our 74 bug which we rebuilt over the last 12 months.
it is now completed and has had the front beam narrowed so we could go lower than the pics in the link show... and we have put in a rear venetian
blind also.
