quick shift

Hello, just went to check out a bug. It had an empi quick shift which i thought was great. What are these worth? I had a browse over the net and found classicveedub.com sells a "quick shift kit" but its just a small bracket looking thing and costs under $10. Cheers

are you talking an Empi quick shift shifter - as in actual gear stick
or are you talking the quick shict kit that reduces the throw of a stock shifter??

One is worth under $200 (to some anyway) and the other is worth $10.

Both efectivley do the same job

I like these as well - I recently fitted a EMPI short shift kit to my stock '65 type one shifter which made an improvement. But, after recently driving a friends Manx with the pictured EMPI shifter - that was ALOT better with a more precise and shorter throw between gears...

I have been looking to buy one when the wife lets me spend more on the old girl - you can buy them new for about $100. Anyone got one for sale second hand so I can convince her to let me buy one? :punk:
