I guess I should re-introduce my self...
I have been about for a fair while now, dropping in from time to time.
I am from WA but currently living in the UK, I have been out of the VW scene for yonks but have always planned on doing something for myself properly.
I have had 2 beetles the first a 68 the plan was a baja. I swapped the gear box but never had the funds. The 2nd was a Baja which I bought
unregistered got it registered back then I was known as DeRrO though I forgot my password.... if you search there could be a photo of the orignal
Baja, which I wrecked in the sand dunes cracked all the front clip ( http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com/viewtopic.php?tid=2961&page=1#pid23172 ), hence the reason for the new chassis again
could not really afford all the things I wnated (oh time has changed... UK is good for that )
Anyway now, I have got a EJ20T a Chassis KL front converted IRS rear and Adaptor Plate/ Flywheel which welll the plan is for a Baja. Now I need a
beetle, KL Front as I need a Beam (Perhaps it poosiable a thing 181), 2Ltr Kombi Box (maybe some Albins Gears... and a super diff or Locker) A few
months before a wedding (mine :kiss of coarse just got engaged ) will
see early next year when I get back...
My old man who is not on here has a 67 Split Double Door which is WIP
for a fair few years... this has been IRS'd and restored fair bit o rust etc, nothing really outta ordinary. I may use the motor for this thoguh...
