Compu-Fire

Evening. Has anyone installed a compufire ignition module in a late model type 3? I've got a '73 wagon and have bought a module but it don't fit. My dizzy has a post which needs to be removed and the module has lug on the bottom which is suppose to line up with the hole, but it don't.
Oh well, back to points I 'spose.

Neil

It's funny. You ask the seller if it will fit. "umm yeah". Back to Sydney for refund.

I'll check around and see if I can get an equivalent dizzy.

Thanks.

Hi

You need a German made dizzy. I'm pretty sure the one you have would be a local Bosch one.

It will have made in ?? written on it. But 312 905 205Z is a locally made dizzy. I'm not sure but maybe you could pull the post out of your base plate?

Made in Aus. I should be able to pull the post and redrill for the lug. But! I might put up with the points for a while.
Would the plate swap with a german dizzy? Or could I swap the lot?

Thanks
Neil
