w00t Lismore NSW

well we'll probably make the news tonight

we had a 5 min hail storm yesterday with about 20mm size hail not uncommon for this time of year

but today it hailed again only this time for 20 mins with hail the size of tennis balls and some flash flooding
i was listening to the scanner and police rescue units were run flat off there feet

my place held up pretty well only 3 shattered windows and the roof of the bbq area was litterally demolished worst i saw was about golf ball size

but a couple of kms away where my parents live it was worse, thier neighbours had roof tiles smashed, solar hot water systems slaughtered beyond recognition and quite a few very badly damaged cars

i went for a spin around town after hardest hit was the car dealerships
holden, ford and mazda would have about 20-30 cars each that were very badly damaged

OK the bug looks like its escaped any huge damage (THANK F#*K!!!) My office assistant's 18 month old Pajero wasn't as lucky, but it did shelter the bug. It's still wet so can't properly tell till morning. There's a cyber green new beetle parked at the hospital that got pumbled on front & driver's side + cracked windscreen...... poor thing.

Yeah my car got dented all over, and the hail smashed off the metal trim on one side, and the side indicator. Rear tail light got smashed too.

glad to see your car is OK, Joel, a lot of work has gone into it, & it would be a shame to go backwards,
Tim, I am sure there are a few more cars left in Sydney that will be just right for you, main thing is you still have transport.
I know it is "google mechanic" type stuff, but "they" reckon there are going to be a lot of bad storms this summer, I guess now is the time to try & figure out how to cover things

Please, I need drivers side window regulator (winder mechanism) for my '54 http://i98.photobucket.com/albums/l266/Kombikim/avatar1.jpg

My work mate had his (Grandmothers) '97 Vienta Ultima 48 000 orig k's Absolutely mint cond assessed today, Car is written off with$10 112 worth of repairs & valued the car as $11 500. He's already fighting to get the car back. Grandmother doesn't know apparently..... would kill her. Other lady at work can't get assessed for at least 3 weeks & windscreen O Brien's don't have windscreen so she's driving with duct tape vision. Thank god it's true that almost 40 year old metal is thicker than 90's on... Hence why eyebrows & windscreen tiny chips are my only telltale sign of being in same carpark as 2 cars above. Poor old charade copped a little bit but fitting up rockwall next to house (girlfriend logic) surprisingly saved it.
