WTB: Pope's Nose for '54 Beetle

Looking for Pope's nose and glass for '1954 Beetle, glass underneath that illuminates number plate covers entire underneath section (not small glass post '1955/56)

Cheers

Craig

Hey mate, try the samba, these are pretty hard to get and if you do find one you'll proberly hang onto it like I have with a few. The glass / plastic is near impossible to find as they become brittle with age ang crack and fall out. I know you can get aftermarket ones from places, try west cost metric etc.
Best of luck,
T54

Haven't got a spare 54 bonnet you want to part with?

According to "The 1949-1959 VW Beetle" by Bob Wilson, that style pope's nose was used until October 1952.
The same source states that the ones with the flat light cover underneath and the crease in the top were used from Nov 52 to March 55.
I would have thought this is the one you were after:

crsedge, the one you have pictured is for a split beetle, not a 54!

Petes is a 54 early 55 one with the crease.

Yes,

I stand corrected, I posted the wrong one, I initially thought all pre '54/55s were the same!

I have spoken to Terry (Pete's alais) and have purchased the outer nose section, now I need the internals (electrics and bulb) and lense.

Again, any out there??

Cheers

Craig
