CB Performance Ball Joint Drop Spindles???

I am about to order some CB Performance Ball Joint Drop Spindles, is there anything I need to know / consider as far as fitting / compatablity is concerned before I order them?
I know that they will increase front wheel track by 1/4 inch per side, but I remember reading somewhere that the clearance between body of the spindle & rim will not allow you to put balance weights on the inner diameter of the rim.
I'm running 15 x 6 cookie cutters on a 1500 beetle if that makes any difference.

Cheers
Brendan

hey man
i got the empi ones which claimed to not increase the track. anyway the 2.5" drop was too much with my 15x6" speedilites. it was pretty low and the guards rubbed on the wheel when turning, going down hill or someone else in the car. smoke was POURING off them

prob need to narrow the beam if using the spindles in which case you're taking it out anyway, so why not just do the whole cut and weld in adjusters whilst at it. i thought spindles would be a quick and easy lowering option but ended up more hassle than it was worth. im going to do the adjusters thing sometime soon

good luck

Jon,
Ive already got adjusters in but I have run into dramas with shock absorber length, ball joints running out of travel etc. I like the idea of getting the stock suspension travel & geometry back as welll as being lowered 2.5 inches. I have read elsewhere that depending on the wheel you are using the bottom baal joint / trailing arm can contact the inside diamter of the rim. Vintag vdub has advised that I shouldnt have any problem with my 15 x 6 cookie cutters but other peoples experiences are fairly valuable sometimes.
Cheers
Brendan
