My Trip To The Philippines - Plenty of dubs!

The wife had to go to the Philippines for work so i decided to tag along. As i had some time to my self I managed to get in touch with VW Club Philippines and funny enough were filming a TV show nearby and invited me along. Really nice guys and showed me around various VW Workshops its amazing that the scene is soo big as they have many Jap cars there.

Not many watercooled VW's as they stopped coming in at 1999 so its very rare to see a late model Golf ( I did see a Seat Cordoba badged as a Polo ).

Due to the heat one interesting accessory fitted to most Air Cooled VW's is Air Conditioning. They have these kits which look very factory fitted to the engine and run radiator at the front of the car.

Here are some pics:

Hi

Some nice cars there. Most of the cars are LHD, I guess that they were left by US servicemen.

Yeah u can i think they asre cheap like $600 US they fabricate a metal piece that sits under the dash with vents looks really cool and factory.

As for the cars they were built in the Philippines up to the 70's and then imported from Brasil as the Philippines is LHD.
