Heeelllppp!!! General advice, hints, contacts for my new (oldie) 1971 superbug I just bought!!
Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and would like to
introduce my self. Im Jules, I have just bought my first 1971 superbug and Im in love!!! I need some advice please, some help and just some chit chat
about this vehicle. Iv always wanted a bug for many years and now that I have one just want some contacts to see all goes well with the ole boy!! Im
after a Good mechanic, I think I need more power in my little engine it is a 1600 (sorry if it all sounds so girly, but I dont know much about
engines, but Im a quick learner) I would like to get the interior done: my front seats are shot, and the roof and carpets are a bit neglected and
maybe down the track get a good respray. So any info in regards to this would be fantastic. Also when do you have your DAY outs or club meets I would
like to attend to get to know some of you and to mull over some things about my new little addition.
Give a Bug a Hug!!!!

Okay Jules,
1stly, welcome to the VW family,
but 2ndly, where are you??? that woudl help folk to advise you who they feel is a good mechanic etc. Remember, what works for some people, may not
work for you. To find yourself a good VW mechanic etc, its a trial, you see what they are like an they see what you are like.
QLD has a show the 11th at the Gold Coast, Melburg has the Day of the VW on the 25th Nov and I am sure that there are a few other events around the
country at this time of year.
A 1600 isn't too bad, but maybe it just needs a service and a clean out to feel a bit better
