What a difference a new clutch cable makes

Got me hands greasy tonite and fitted a new clutch cable and tube. Man what a transformation. No chatter in 1st or reverse, no more thump thru the gears, sweet. And by the looks of the old cable just in the nick of time too. Down to the last dozen or so strands.
Saved me a lot of walking back from Hanging Rock I reckon.

Well done Dean, preventative maintenance is So Fine....
Did you very carefully asses the amount of Cable Housing swoop.?
I fiddled with mine to make less swoop and thus easier operation. ( it was a little too much before hand ).:thumb

No it had the correct amount of sag right out of the box. Probably a little of the too much side if anything. No probs tho. Gave her a good thrash around the block on wet roads to bed everything down.
Probably need an adjust after the run to Hanging Rock with cable stretch.
Really greasy job tho. Thankfully not one you have to do too often. :thumb

Yeah I think I add three times the grease that it probably needs in an effort to increase the longetivity....I dont want to do it again for a long time.

and I even adjust it so that it will stretch to about the right spot - well try for it anyway....:beer

"Old Grey Cruiser" has a nice ring to it Tazz. Cheers.
Andrew if you are looking can you change my star thingo the the above.
Cheers.

Taz now you have the plates you have to get the car to fit em on. You just gotta tell the Mrs "rules are rules"

Good luck with this mission. If you are caught or anything should go wrong, AussieVeedubbers will disavow any knowledge of this operation. :D
