[FS - QLD] '65 Type One Dub! [Pic's]

http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/4696/ebay072ql2.jpg

1965 Type One Beetle

I purchased this car from Canberra in April '07 and had it trucked up to Brisbane - this car has had very little use since (a couple of 100k's only) so it is being sold to make room for another toy...

Exterior:
L511 Birch Green Paint Job - about 5 years old (previous owner)
Bumpers and chrome all in good condition...
Brand new tyres front and rear - 135's (front) and 165's (rear)

Mechanical:
Rebuilt 1300 about 4 years ago by BeetleExchange (previous owner) - runs well
Still running 6 volt
Four speed manual

Interior:
Has had new carpet / headlining / front seats retrimed a few years ago
...could do with a little more love to bring it up to the standard of the outside of the car

Modifications:
Adjustable K&L front end
Lowered rear end by a notch or two (Custom Off Road)
EMPI Zoom Pipe / Exhaust
EMPI front and rear gravel guards
EMPI hub cap pullers

Contact Details:
Jonathan Mayes
0420 902 784
jonathanmayes@hotmail.com

Price:
No hurry to sell at this stage - $5000
NUMBER PLATES NOT INCLUDED IN SALE!
6 months QLD rego

Wow, nice veedub :)

It's obviously a well maintained and nicely modified vehicle, so without meaning to offend how is the vehicle for rust? I especially mean the scary stuff that hides in the heater channels, floorpan, TBone and pillars, waiting for suckers like me to get caught, burn their fingers and somewhat delay the return to owning a veedub. No I ain't bitter, I'm slowly coming back to the sensible world of Carbies, Air-Cooling and a bit of style

Sorry for the delay in reply - I replied to your email - detailed description for you there. In short the dub has a totally rust free pan and channels, 99.9% rust free body - ie. one small rust bubble under the windscreen and some surface rust in the spare wheel well from brake fluid spillage...
