How do you make a 69 beetle look like a mid 60's

As the subject line says, how would you go about making a 69 beetle look like an earlier model .... but not going to far back to an oval model, which just wouldnt look right anyway ... i but i am sure you could make one look like a a mid 60's model, and make it look right.

i know it would be easy to just buy a mid 60's ... but i am asking this question anyway.

i hope the greater minds out there can offer some information.

cheers ...

Due to difrences in window size, the best you'll be able to do it make it look like a US-spec 1967 model - lay-back headlights and front guards, earlier rear lights and earlier bumpers (that will require some fiddling with body work)

They do this a lot in the UK. From memory they replace the front and rear valances to enable the long bonnet and decklid, and then its just a case of new guards all round as well as a bonnet and deckid. You also have to change the bumper mounts too.

Have a look over at the forum on Volkszone.com

Cheers

Go the '67 US look...early rear guards with the upright lights up front.....then Cal it and you'll be the king.
