Here's some pics of it with my bug at the Canberra Rod and Kustom Kruise (CRAKK), which was held on the long weekend. Was an awesome weekend, and
both the dubs were well accepted by the rodders. I was a little unsure
when I first saw the pics of it, but seeing it in person it is very nice, and features great workmanship and a bunch of neat features.

Parked at the show and shine.
And a couple cruising the caravan park

they were aquired from a guy in vic who makes them using a 44 galon drum so he can use the ridge in the guards you will need to talk to the owner

thats interesting Greedy as i'm sure they are sourced from Sydney. Definitely not from a 44 gallon drum either, I'd say they were more like a
fibreglass motorcycle guard.

I just got the info on the guards. They are fibreglass just not cycle guards. They were molded from the spare wheel cover of a 40's model Ford. They
were sourced from within Hotrod circles. I can find out the details of were they came from of your interested but i will need to track the info down.

Hey guys, to save Notchy running back and forth with details i thought i should reply myself. The front guards are from a company called Hyboy Hot Rod
Company. Garrie Oliver is the guys name in Victoria Phone number 03 5975 6017 He has various widths 150mm - 270mm different widths have different
profiles. We got the 150 for our fronts. They are a fibre glass guard and If i remember right they run from about $80-$120 but don't quote me. If
your going to give him a call you will need to have some tyre dimensions handy. Sorry greedy but definatly not moulded from a 44 gallon drum
The front lights are from a motorcycle shop in rydalmere but any bike shop should be able to help. I think the were 6 inch, after market head lights
with cats eye chrome surrounds cost about $200 bucks plus the cats eyes which i got from a local rods show.
Thanks for your comments on the v rod, We want to build something different But wasn't to sure what others would think. We knew it wouldn't be
everyones cup of tea but we enjoyed building it and its heaps of fun to drive. We have had some awesome response so far from both hot rodders and
Volkswagen enthusiasts. Thanks
Oh and don't worry CT we have absolutely no intention on apply for club plates we know its a custom build heavily modified car and therefore not in
the spirit of historic or classic registration. Strictly build for cruis'n the streets
