my brother got seriously bent out of shape when I sent him that link. personally I'm so over sambas it didn't worry me at all. although, did you see the dyno reading they got. very low really under 200hp at the wheels from memory. that was the point at which I went, "well, why on earth did you bother?". all that effort for such a gutless V8.

I think it was something like 270hp actually and I'm sure the torque was way up there....Torque is way more important than hp..... That thing would be crazy on the street!

he'll be right as long as he drives it up and down the street in front of the shop. The gearbox will go poof. Its right up there with converting a lawnmower to nos. With beer and mates it passes time, but ultimately is a waste of a good bus.
