Smuggling booze into festivals
Alright you lot.
Need some ideas of where I can stash booze on a Squareback, obvious places aside the security searches the cars pretty well if you give them any
grief, but the squareback is so chocked full of nooks there has to be at least a dozen places to hide stuff. I'd like to risk storing stuff in the
bonnet in the hope they wouldn't realise the engine was out back but I seriously doubt they're that daft. I reckon under the back seat would be a
fair shot, maybe even tucked into the actual cusion of it. My Father suggested filling up the windscreen wiper resevoir with vodka :P.

trim panels near the engine? the bay kombis had the best system, a sealed compartment, which on panelvan models was only accessable from the engine
bay.

inside the rear seats, they are fairly hollow.. in the engine bay either sides on the engine there is plentyy of room.. they won't know how to get in
there. You can stash weed in the horn button

In your sleeping bag. Usually allowing security staff to search your car does not extend the right to them to search your person or your personal
effects.

Here's a few tips:
• Inject oranges with Vodka using a syringe.
• Cut a flap in your spare tyre and stash you drinks in there. If the tyres is dirty theres less chance they'll want to handle it.
• Get a liter bottle of water. Make 2 pin size holes at the bottom and using a syringe, suck out the water. Once done inject the bottle with vodka.
Time consuming-yes. Not paying $10 per drink- awesome!hehe
I in no way condone this kind of behavior and please consult a doctor if drinking persists!

some of the responses in this thread are fantastic
when i went to schoolies, we got to our hotel and they wouldnt let in any alcohol (party poopers). so we bought loaves of bread, hollowed all the
pieces except the top and bottom, to fit around a bottle of vodka, re-assembled in the bag, and took it in. went to a medical supply shop and bought
the biggest syringe sans needle they had and pumped a heap of vodka into a few watermelons.
a friend strapped 2 bags of goon (bleh) to his stomach and it looked like a big belly and he got that in, and there were rumours some girls were
sneaking in small bottles of assorted alcohols in their "secret compartments" if you know what i mean

I filled the door trims and under seats when I went to bathurst one year. They do check these obvious places though.
How you get around it is have an esky on the back seat with a couple of leftover beers and lots of empties. A JD bottle 1/2 full of ice tea also
works. Your mates act pissed (mine werent acting so much) have them make a shitload of noise about them confiscating your 'grog'. They wont bother
looking for the real stuff. Pack the doors full of towels and shit so there arent any rattles and clunks.
If you were dedicated you could build a stubbie dispenser above the gearbox!

hey your the one that clicked on the thread mate.
you have all got it wrong.
All ya need to do is get a plastic bottle of apple juice for example, boil a pot of water, put cap of apple juice bottle in water and pull off cap
with out breaking the seal, refill it with alcohol that looks the same colour n recap the same way!

A camelbak strapped to the back full of straight bourbon ( or insert alcohol to desired taste) with the tube running down your sleeve works a treat.
You might not want to use your camelbak bladder for water again.
In your dub, how about wrapping your piss up in a towel and puttiing it under the back seat opposite to the battery and have some mates sitting on the
back seat.
Have fun. bb
