Any one ever made custom moulds for silicon rubber casting.
Hi all, just wanting to know if anyone has ever made custom 2 or 3 piece moulds to cast latex or silicon rubber with? why i want to make a custom
rubber boot for an air bellows for a type4 into type 3 conversion, i have a good idea on how to go about it but expert advice would be appreciated.
Cheers Damo.

yup, have made moulds out of ali with the channels precision machined in on a mill, but for easy do it at home, 18mm mdf/custom wood, get a router and
bit the right shape you're after, set it the depth, router out the channels then coat the wood with a decent 2 pack or good epoxy spray paint to seal
it up and make it shiney, can bolt a couple together for two part/sandwich type moulds, have done both succesfully... good luck
