WTF is an 'expression of interest?'

Either the car is for sale - or it's not!

Looks nice!

Chill out, its all ok, people do EOI's all the time to drum up interest to see if its worth selling or not.

Let me explain it to you. I am seeing if people have interest in the car, usually when you sell a car people kick tyres and waste time, if thats all I get out of this then I will keep it, if I start to get a lot of INTEREST by serious parties then I will seriously consider selling it. I don't want to sell this car, if I get no interest then I will keep, if people are willing to pay the money then I will more than likely sell! Its a pretty easy concept to grasp, its just a more formal way of saying "hey, would anyone buy my car for $X if I was to chuck it up for sale" prior to taking the next step.

However the more I think about this, the more likely I am to pull the car from sale, as its killing me even thinking about it......but I'll see what happens.

For sale
Really nice '59 Beetle
$9000
No tyre kickers
!

I was a little tongue in cheek when I made my post, but like 'buyer enquiry range', EOI is a bullshite term often used by shonky real estate agents who don't know the value of thier own product well enough to be able to set a sale price. Take a look at the weekend papers; you'll see what I mean ;)

It seems you do, and you have, so good luck with the sale

I see where your coming from but I also see VWCOOL's point.
I have been thinking of selling my oval but really i don't have a clue what its worth.
I've had it for a long time and its always undercover but I have to move it every time I want to work on my other cars.
same sort of problem.

I see his point aswell, but I've put a price up, I'm not just trying to see if people like the car and am trying to get someone to start a bidding war hoping it will go above and beyond my expectations.

I'm merely seeing what interest it gathers at that price, if I haven't had any serious parties within the next 4-5 days, then I'll assume its not the right amount or no one is interested and I'll continue to search for alternative solutions for garaging.

But I won't be selling below my asking price, as I feel thats what its worth to me, and if no one else agrees then I'd rather keep it anyway:cool:

Hope ya don't just let it sit in the garage mate. Too nice a ride to have it tucked up and not out driven and appreciated.

oh no it gets driven, it'll just have a place to stay now, very happy this has worked itself out quickly before I did something I regretted!
