dont go airshocks!! the ride is awful, they are really only supposed to be used on 4wd's but minitruckers in the states used them in the early
days as a cheap alternative to bags.
Nectar(unity-28) is the only one here who has airbags(as far as i know?) but he hasnt installed them yet. its a kit from an american company check the
kit out and instalation photos/how-tos at- http://www.airliftcompany.com
as for cost i dont know what N paid for his landed in aus but if you bought a complete setup(no brackets) from the states they start from US$1000 just
depending on what you want it to do and how fast.
hope this helped, if you have any more questions let us know i have researched this thoroughly as i will be attempting to bag my notch soon.

Adam, Brackets for the front are quite easy to make, But I would Narrow the beam first, and refabricate the shock towers to include the brackets, You
would then have a cleaner looking shoch tower, and also alot stronger! As for the Back, all the suspension is changed! The only thing that remains is
the Torsion Bars and Housing! I got all the brackets, Bags, Lines and Fittings for $2000 Aus, that included frieght and taxes. I didnt get the Tank
and Compressor, as they are easily found here, and are very HEavy! I have anticipated the set up will cost me close to 3500 bu the time I am
finished!
Hope this has helped!

skewy depends who u go to if there a friend then there legal if u go to a stranger there illegal!!!! (for rego)
but yer if you are gonna install either bags or hydros (hydros especially) u will need the structurely secure the whole car before you do anything as
dancing or any rapid movements can distort pan/chassis!!! in a kombi they should be fine!!!
cheers
rhys
p.s. the cost difference between hydros and airbags is heaps hydros are about 1200 for the whole lot and air bags 4 granmd
it aint just cool its aircool'd

unless the laws have changed, hydros are illegal! i looked into this about 7years ago. wanted to do it the right way so i went to everyone- police,
engineer, suspension specialists, regency, road and transport etc.. they all told me the same thing. totally illegal! the main reason i was given as
to why was the fact that hydraulic fluid is flammable and may leak onto something hot and your car may burst into flames hence killing thousands of
people, which is all true except for the killing of thousands of people. iwas at the lowrider supershow in las vegas 2 years ago and saw about 4
hoppers/dancers catch alight with leaking fluid.
in the end hydros will cost about the same as bags as they are higher maintenance than bags and if you look in lowrider magazine the kits(bags and
hydro's) cost about the same to buy for basic setups around the $us1000.
if you want your car to dance just buy large port bags/slam bags and run them by a nitrogen tank and the car will dance/hop and jump all 4 corners of
the ground! but as kombikid said make sure you put some kind of bracing in and around the car as it is alot of stress and will snap your car in half!

Burnin Customs also, wont do a Airbag set up for the front of a bug, they will do Air Cylinders, a little stiffer than bags, but not as stiff as
hydros! Hydros, also are Cheaper for bottom of the end stuff, but once you start wanting good dumps and all the little things, it starts to get real
pricy! Also you have to stregthen the whole car, chassis, body, tras housing, EVERYTHING! Although if you only strengthen the chassis the body wont
warp, the force of the body bouncing up and down will vibrated the whole car, thus making it ripple, and you really dont want that with a fresh paint
job! Stregthening the car wont be cheap!
If you go for anything, go bags!
My 2 cents! N!
