[FS - QLD] 61 Baja Bug - Nearly Finished Project
It's with much regret that I offer this up for sale. But I need a new daily, as well as the fact that I just don't have the time for it anymore.
Specs:
61 beetle, swingaxle rear
1600 Twin Port motor from a 73 bug
Motor and box in great running order.
Full fibreglass Baja kit, with wide IRS rear guards, brand new rear cowl.
Front tube bumper, and rear tube bumper with cage and towbar.
Lifted front beam, lifted 2 splines in rear - 12inches of ground clearance to the floorpan.
Brand new L&R floor pan halves installed
Chrome trim shaved from dash
Shaved exterior chrome trim (all welded - no bodgy!)
New Goodies:
It comes with a gutload of brand new parts - some already installed on the car, and some still packaged.
*F&R brake cylinders
*F&R brake pads
*F drums (could do with some rears)
*F&R brake hoses
*Master cylinder & fluid reservoir
*L&R 1/4 side window rubbers
*Rear window rubber
*Rear Torsion Bar rubbers
*Fuel cap
*Fibreglass glove box
*Spark plug leads
*Dizzy cap
*Waterproof dizzy boot
*Door handle rubber seals
*Taillight lenses
*Taillight base rubber seals
*Door seals
*205/75 15 Centennial Canyon Climber front tyres
*Door cards trimmed in light grey vinyl (Spare vinyl to continue trimming interior if desired.)
*Custom made carbon fibre dash trims (around speedo)
*Custom made skull switch knobs
*Front indicators
*Rego plate light
*Set of Grey velour F&R seat covers
*Chrome interior door handles
Other goodies:
It has 31 inch rear mud tyres with about 85% tread
Honda CRX seats, mounted on stock bug seat rails
Stinger exhaust, modified with stainless steel muffler installed, and 3inch chrome dump tip.
Painted Matt Black, with gloss red rims.
Enuff paint to finish, but will need more primer. Only the doors and guards need painting, and the bonnet needs respraying.
I'll also include stock rims/tyres and 2 10inch wide 'star' rims for the rear. I think there are some spare door glass, and window regulators
too.
Motor runs fine, but could do with a check over before being driven, as it's been off the road for a few years now.
I'll get more pics up in the next couple days, including pics of everything that comes with it. I'm sure there are some parts that I've
forgotten!

Man you are so close to finishing! I was in the same boat a few months back.
Put a tarp over it and give it 6 months, all you need is to go for a spin in someone elses to get the enthusiam back!
Ohh well Good luck with the sale.

Yeah, I know. I'm in no hurry to let go of it. I've poured so much into it, but if someone comes up with the cash then it's theirs. I'm not
dropping a cent below my asking price either.
