T4 vs DAEWOO
hey all..
i came home from work on monday night and found that my T4 bus that i parked out front of my house had developed a new and unsightly growth on its
rear end..
the DAEWOO owner was a young girl who must of forgot to do the handbrake deal etc and dont you love the result..
i certainly didnt at 11.30pm when i came home from work thats for sure..
the worlds slowest crash at roll speed from about 6m away..
anyways the police came the next day took the usual and separated the hidious tumour from my bus..
hence only a slight scratch to the bumper more a rub mark really and thats about it..
however the DAEPOO certainly couldnt hold its own in one of the slowest crashes of all time..
laffn about now thats for sure..
i might get a new towball just to be sure when im next hauling around bits to melberg in my trailer next tho..
cheers pauly

Its thugs like you driving around with those dangerous towballs that give the rest of us a bad name............
We got rear ended by a Semi-Trailer at speed a while back, and the Kombi actually came off better than before it was hit..... I'd bent the towbar
snatching out a bogged Holden Rodeo over on Straddie, and when the Semi hit us, it straightened up the tow bar back to where it should have
been.......

HOLY GOODNESS!
I neva knew cars like that were so soft!
I rear ended a mazda 3 (brand new one by the way, was only a week old) bout 6 months back in a celica... was at about 10 kms per hour...
the mazda bumper, no kidding (IE: someone up there likes me), it was completely not damaged! not a scratch or a dint seen at all wat so eva. very
strong and stirdy. still swapped details with them incase they found something later on... but i got off clean very luckily... (and certainly replaced
those tyres quickly, they locked up as such a slow speed cause they were worn, out of balance and heavily out of alignment, they ended up locking up
on a dry road)
the celica on the other hand, was still tough as nails, perfect shape, the number plate was bent up though, (although the number plate was pretty well
bent for all those times i nudge the garbage bins up the drive way rather than pull em up)
Which makes me very happy with both 90's toyotas and 2007 mazda's BUT!
Are these other cars really that soft? Are they really that rediculous? I'm just so surprised at the moment how disposable they are... its
insane...
(spose it explains y there ain't no daewoo anymore)

Hmmmmmm thats a lot of damage for such a small accident even in a Dag Woo. I used to own a Dag Woo (although mine was several years newer than that
one) and I had got into a few scrapes (use to do a lot of touch parking against poles) and she was much tougher than that.

one of those buggar rules, for pedestrian safety I think, not meant to have a towbar fitted when not towing, thats why all the new cars have those
removable ones. thankfully nobody seems to pay attention to the rule.

Just like some VWs, that Daewoo was in fact designed in Germany and even as a Daewoo (Korean assembly) used many German bits...
It's an Opel.
