Where would I find the codeto "unlock" the radio after the battery was taken out on a 2003 Syncro??

you can ring your local Volkswagen dealership and give them the chassis number of the vehicle then they can look it up for you
otherwise its usually in the logbooks under the radio data section

Yes,
sometimes a small metal tage has the number on it..
but whether it was put into Your manual??

I had to get My Lancer code last year..
the local Mitsubishi dealer put Me thru to Mitsubishi
and I had to prove who I was...
they then rang the purchaser of My Lancer.
which was Me...
to make sure I was who I said I was...

but there are Radios on ebay all the time that don't come with the code....
just contact the local dealer they say..
but that would be defeating the purpose of having the Radios coded...
