baja rwc

Hey Fella's,
So I am looking to get a beetle as a new daily. I have been talking to a guy about his bug. It is Baja-fied already and was wondering what this will mean for Rego on victoria's streets.

It is a 66ish with a type 3 motor in the back.

Here is a pic or three

Well for a start I'd change the exhaust and get a guard on the fan and generator belt (stock type 3 cover would be a good start). Not sure about the horizontal light mounting. Perhaps front and rear barwork, but I'm used to QLD regs so Vic is probably different.

u will need full length front and rear bumpers

and a new exhaust, also the balance tube in that exhaust will be heating up teh air going into your fan, = not good!!

This Front bar is very common, if the pic works... I'll post a pic of the rear barwork too but mine is overkill! Weighs a ton.

I had alot of trouble getting mine registered in qld. Not because of a roadworthy though. The transport dept down there will probably ask for a million numbers and certificates that just dont exist. I ended up just registering mine as a beetle, they didn't even look twice. Just checked the chassis and engine number and off i went. The rear cage on my manx is probably more like what you would want, i'll post a pic of that too.

It's very similar but it doesn't have all the extra crap on the top.
