Was wondering if I was the only one who noticed that.

I've got 2 tins of that same colour with the yellow pearl through it I was gonna paint mine in.
Everytime I see your bug Kev I wanna get the spray gun out, then I wash it and find new dents and stone chips and change my mind.

Be sure to park well clear of 4WDs covered in those my family stickers that have lots of kids on them.

Hi boys,

yeah that was filmed about 3 years ago, didn't you notice I had more hair :lol::lol::lol: For those that are wondering, it was Crash Investigation Unit that was on in Sydney, when I was still in the job.

Craig, no black and white interior but I will have some photos up soon.

Cheers, Kev

Kev, after you mentioned your build thread at the club meeting, I thought I would check it out...

Awesome work, Kev! My '61 can be the "before" and your's the "after" ! LOL

Can't wait to see it at a meeting/run one day...you should be very proud of what you've done.

Cheers,

Kev's car is sensational and the new interior looks awesome hopefully Kev will post some photos soon so show everyone.

If I was going to be critical about the car there is one downfall, it is Kev driving it and not me :)

Hi Andrew,

thanks for the kind words. It has been a long process as I thought (with original plans) that it would be back on the road in 6 months and as usual, the plan changes along the way and now we are about 3.5 years. Although I didn't work on it for about 1 full year, at one stage.

Paul, are you trying to tease others by letting them know you have had a preview of the interior. Not sure how it will look in photos as it is a dark interior and the flash highlights some areas and not others.

Kev

It may just take a bit of time to grow on me and maybe it will look different when outside in the day light. I think I prefer the look of AUSSIE_MICK 's which is basically the same but in black leather.

Maybe I just need to get use to seeing a change, as it has been over 3 years since it has even had a back seat

As I said, the light isn't right or maybe I am just making excuses :fakesniff:

I really love this interior. Suits the colour of your bug perfectly in my opinion!

Got any photos of the rear luggage area? Get a new sound system installed while you were at it or does that come later?

Hope you're enjoying your beautiful looking beetle!

No need for a sound system. There is no better sound then the sound of a pair of webers on a healthy Dak Dak engine at full song

What I thought would be 6-7 month body off rebuild/freshen up, turned into a totally different project (as they do) and this November will be 4 years and about $20,000 more than I thought I was going to spend. Keeping in mind, this is with me doing most of the labour.

Anyway, here are a couple of photos as of today. One job today was to modify the wiper arms to suit the new 2 speed wiper motor. It's so close to finished now, I can hardly wait to take her for a spin.

I will get some more photos of her outside in the next few days and post them up.
