I am going but unfortunately have not been able to get to my normal test&tune session prior.
Car should be sweet though.
Rod Richardson is running in the Blue '61 as well.(shorter 4th gear)
Not sure if Morgie, Macca and Lachlin are coming up from NSW?

Nice work Dave, you will hold that title forever (touch wood) and what a great photo i don't think i have ever seen that many green frogs in one
spot usually you look in a pipe and its full of bloody cane toads.

Rod Richardson race day was mixed event , the day was quite warm (track temp 46deg).Rod had 3 runs ,each getting quicker as temp came down . He had 2
runs with muffler on ,best being 12.38et at 106.8 mph. Next run he ran with stinger on 12.20 et at 108.83 mph this put us back on pace .Sixty foot was
good 1.65 .
But deep sump came loose ,leak oil on return road , then while fixing it we found 5 nuts and washers but not 6 ?
His night was over !

Shame we had a premature end to the days proceedings!!! Could of eliminated someone else and possible had an all Volksy final. Anyhow that's racing
and glad that the oil down happened where and when it did. It could have been a lot worse that's for sure.

My little car did an 'Exon Valdes' on the return road. I usually get out and check the car just after the turn off but there was a traffic jam
there. By the time I stopped at the scrutineer shed it was pouring out. The guy in the RX3 behind me informed me I was leaking water . It was a good
run though , car felt good and driver was getting the hang of it again. Big thanks to Pete (Dak-a-Tak Racing ) for taking me up straight after the
Portland journey . Thanks also to Brendon and Tom and the other Volksie guys who turned up.

Great video guys!!! Dave I could sit and watch that video over and over!!! your car sounds awesome on the video but even better at the track.
Congrats on the win again and hopefully next round we'll have a few more VW's to bolster that ranks and eliminate some Honda's and rotaries for an

Yep ,Video came up good  Have been looking into small camera that you
can mount nearly anywhere (inside).
Look at Rods car last night ,blew air back wards through oil pick-up and the sump nut fell out of it !
Drop oil filter off car and in side little bits of brass (4bits in line) and steel (very fine) .
Metal isn't good but this is on in coming side of filter ! Had to think about it? then pulled out oil pump gears and found them scared up badly
(little chips and dents everywhere).Also inside body of pump housing is scratched up as well .To fix New oil pump and and clean out oil lines .
