need a manx build or buy?
hey guys new to the site, am looking into getting a manx and want to know whether to build or buy. Currently in w.a. is it hard to get registered if I
build any info would be great. |

Also talk to Moose on there. Moose is Desert Moose on this forum.
He will know if there is any for sale in Perth at the moment. I know that a friend of his was trying sell his original Meyers Manx a while ago. I'm
not sure if the guy still has it.

I recommend that you buy a Western Australian registered buggy or one that has a documented WA registration history.
Be prepared to pay over the top for the above, because it is virtually impossible and/or very expensive and complicated to build a new buggy on a
newly shortened pan.
Once a chassis/body pan of a vehicle has been modified, especially if it's been shortened, it is classified as an Individually Constructed Vehicle
(ICV), and is therefore considered to be a new car, with all of the requirements to comply with the Australian Design Rules (ADRs).
I know. I'm trying to do it now and it's driving me crazy.
Because of that, a registered buggy, in poor condition is now worth big dollars.
Ask Chris of Idlewild Off Road, (08) 9248 6557, about the yellow buggy he has. It may be for sale.

buying is usually cheaper than building BTW.
