6v Fuel guage to 12v
Is it possible to wire a 6v fuel gauge to 12v and how? I have an old square fuel gauge and would like to use it and it's the only 6v part on the
whole car so I hoping ther is something simple I could do........I like simple!

you can run the 12v through it but you will have to calibrate the cauge yourself when you fill it up as it will read over full so you need to work
out where 1/2 and 1/4 tanks are on the gauge
I had the same in a car for years just have to get use to it
the other probally better alternative is to get a later type speedo fitted wit hteh gauge and possible Klms on the dial then you wont have any
problems just leave the old square gauge in the hole or look around for a 68 to 72 dash cover plate without the hole for the fuel gauge

See there's the problem, I just like this guage and the older speedo! I have a later speedo plus a brand spanking new fuel guage that fits the speedo
but it's just doesn't look as nice
