Ankor Wax - Rust Protection.
Have had several requests for Ankor Wax which is a long-term rust proofing treatment you can apply to your ratted paint/surface rust to lock in the
goodness. It goes straight on with no prep necessary and chemically bonds to metal surfaces to halt the rusting process. It provides long term rust
proofing and can be used on the car, under the car, in chassis rails, doors or anywhere there's rust or the potential for rust. It isn't harmful to
painted surfaces.
You can apply by brush or low pressure spray and it can be easily removed if you decide one day you want to go the new paint job

Used it today for the first time. It's a great product. Very clean and easy to apply. If it's brushed on and then spread with a rag, it retains a
matt finish. But you can buff it up to a shine if you like. Because you can brush it on you can get it into every nook and cranny. It's like a thick
polish and there's no smell, no greasiness. Won't effect rubber or plastic and you don't need to clean or prepare the surface. I did the floor of
the oval and you can see in the pics, the untreated area is how the treated area was before it was applied.
Be great for any car with any crusty bits like beside the beading on beetle guards where rust often develops or at the base of the A and B pillars or
under the guards, or window surrounds etc etc You could do the underside of your floorpan in a couple of hours with no prep, no mess and no clean up
afterwards. Because it doesn't effect paint, you can simply brush it over the area you want to preserve or protect from rust.
If you have a look at the pic of the blue beetle guard you can see on the left how the guard was, in the middle section it's been brushed on and left
matt, and on the right side it's been buffed by hand with a polishing cheese cloth.
I did the exterior and floor of the Oval and used about half a litre. We can supply it by the litre if required.

I'd like some of that for my 68 kombi. What do you use to remove it? Is it ok near heat. Thinking of the engine bay, rear apron near muffler and
battery tray. How much for a litre including postage to Sydney?

Can you Buff up the ankorwax a few days after its being applied?
Reason I ask is I painted ankor wax on my ratty oval but to be honest i'm not happy with the finish

Yeah Deckie. Anytime. Looks like you've got brushmarks everywhere yeah? Is that what you're not happy with? If you use a brush or spray bottle to
apply and then smooth over with a rag while it's wet, you get an even dull finish which can be buffed up if required. You can buff what's there
though.
I see you've got some masking going on there. Dare I ask why? Not necessary if you're applying Ankor Wax.

yesterday I went back to my car and the wax had set well hard.
I was able to polish it up
Though job but it loks great
I've less than half the car done yet
and I masked as I didn't know any better.
