Hi

You need to cut the handle in 2 places, then you can undo each peice. After you do this, a hidden emergency pull is very handy.

Assuming its a beam bug and not a super, if your spare is not in its hole you can force the left hand steering box cover plate out of the way and then have a fish with wire on the back of the lock.

just cut in under one end of the handle (the bolt holdin it dwn) then try to unscrew the othr side by turnin the handle on the other bolt

that way u may save cutting and the handle..... this removes the plunger and bracket incl from inside bonnet and will allow opening.

I have spares for 54 to 67 if u need. hdls and cables

Man this all sounds so nasty for a little cable :O!

certainly secure though.
dub keys are simple, you can look up google for some serious lock picking techniques, surprising how much knowledge there is to be troublesome like that.... not that i would know ;)

Thats if ur desperate to not destroy anyof it. Rekon a lock smith might able able to do it for a few bux? got any lock smith mates?

so its a pre 67 bug get your mate to pull that handle or cable
while you first push down on the bonnet then pull up see if that works

other wise its as per above and cut the handle off
