[FS - VIC] 1970 Lowlight Deluxe SOLD

1970 Lowlight Deluxe.
Seller: Paul
Contact: PM or 0419556632
Price: $6500

I bought this car about 12 months ago - drove it across Melbourne on a wet night - no brakes, no brake lights and one blinker. Stalled at every traffic light and it was stuck on SBS radio.
Since that time it has been brought back to the land of the living. I wanted to make sure everything worked and all the original bits were on it - but keep it old. i.e. second hand but complete e.g. hinge covers, sunshades, seats, floor mats etc etc. It drives beautifully, is reliable and IMO very cool.

I have just bought a Dual Cab and do not have the shed space or the cash so this old girl has to go to a new home. I can actually truthfully say regretful sale.
Slam it some more and rat it or it is the great basis for a full resto.

Body:
Original paintwork - faded all over
All the deluxe trim work - some a little dented.
Front doors are serviceable but rust on the bottom and on the outer skins - had to bog them a little for RWC. Have not painted over so you can clearly see.
Body is pretty straight - there are a few dents. The worst is bottom let rear guard. I was undecided about fixing them but finally decided i liked the lived in look.
Rubbers are all ok
Has good flipper windows in the back except for the one on the passenger side - needs replacing.

Rust
I have replaced the front floors with repro's from the bus stop.
Recently removed the front windscreen and fixed rust under screen - new rubber and windscreen gone in
Underneath is totally rust free
Areas that need some attention - Front inner valance will need some work in the future, one of the sills, both front doors and a couple of other minor spots.
Rear floors are good and have been wire brushed and coated with black Killrust. Everything that has been repaired was treated with Rust Bullet and or Killrust.

Interior
All the door panels etc are in great nick - complete set of tri colour deluxe jobs.
Full set of matching seats - front, middle and rear. All in good order but could do with a set of new covers.
Rubber mats are all good
Dash is uncut and very clean - when the windscreen was out I painted all the dash area so it really tidy.
Has all the knobs and handles etc
Roof lining was pretty rough - I have tightened it all up and patched the tears with some old original material I had. Looks OK now
Everything works except the rear courtesy light

Mechanical
1600 single port (rocket) - new pitons and barrels and a good going over 12 months ago. Runs beautifully
Gearbox is great - changes tightly and holds all gears.
New beetle muffler fitted recently
Reconditioned steering box
New master cylinder, slave cylinders, brake shoes, and brake lines. Machined drums (over a grand on brakes). Stops very nicely
Couple of ball joints and other odds n ends
Leaks a little oil but does not use any.

Suspension
Indian front beam with adjusters and adjustable bump stops (original beam goes with it too)
Rear is lowered about 3 splines (outer) - i think
Drives well

What else :
New stainless front badge with NOS clips
New deluxe rubbers on the rear bumper
Some stickers on the back window
Decent tyres on recently spay painted black original wheels
Has original plates and rego till August for Vic buyers
No RWC

Whats wrong with it:
Broken window winder handle - I'll get one of those
Heaters are disconnected
Sliding door does not lock

Anything else just ask - prefer buyer to inspect or get a mate to. More pics avaoilable or if you want specific ones let me know.
