WTD....type 3 case

I'm chasing a late model type 3 case. The type that has the holes for the rear mount. The case out of my notch has seen better days.
Don't care if it needs machining just as long as it's a good base for a rebuild

Contact me on 0423775037 or stanley111@optusnet.com.au or send a PM.

Cheers

so r u building a BIG engine or a stocker

If your building a BIG engine then you should really go with a new case
otherwise you will be paying good money for garbage

Thanks :tu:.... Old case had an ugly rear main from having 1/8"+ endfloat causing the main seal to leak. Also one of the studs was cracked into the oil gallery which made for another annoying leak. Thought it was time to do my bit for the environment.

Ok you can fix the rear main with a macine and space job have had this done before and works OK

but the oil gallery is another problem

4 got to say you want a universal case as well to have the rear mount and oil dip / filler hole for a Type 3

"" Thought it was time to do my bit for the environment""

thats what degreaser is for LOL

unfortunately the cat (with the tail like a possum) chased a grasshopper through the drip tray and then preceeded to paint the garage with it's oily tail.

I blame the cat, however my wife blamed the car and "recommended" that I fix it or park it outside.
Still think a better option is to get rid of the cat...:D
