What engine is this??

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Got an engine with my buggy and at the time was told it was a 1600. Have since been told it would be either an 1800 or 2lt.
Can anyone tell me what it is?

Thinking of getting rid of it but dont wanna sell it as something it is not.

its been a while but on top of the case from memory or there abouts..
it'll probably be covered with gunk etc.. have a good look around
someone on here will then have a book with MY and size for the case..

There is often a number stamped on the fan housing, this may or may not match the actual engine number which is stamped on the crankcase rearward of the breather chimney visable from above.

CJ engine code's a 2 liter 8/75 ->7/79 70 odd BHP from the factory.
It may not be stock though... the 1800 heads were meant to turn this puppy around if installed onto the 2000 B & Ps
