Being an early chassis we will be talking with the box if its rolling... and being oldskool swingaxle & k&l, + 4 wheel drums (IE: pre-1968 pans), the price range doesn't seem to be too bad.

It all depends on condition. This is just my opinion and what i would see fair, and what i would be happy paying. This is the prices i have seen in the past and the $ i have been asked in the past. Mind you, you can always negociate less.

If its just a run of the mill without some superduper restored and rebuilt front beam and box..., I would say $850 or less. all depends on condition. If the rubbers are good, no rust, practically no work involved, gearbox that works but no idea of age and u just need the body to be dropped on it, its what i would pay.

If its all repainted and rebuild, maybe around a grand and half upwards depending on how late it was rebuilt, even more if the gearbox was full reconstructed.

If its got say a few dead rubbers, old paint here and there, some surface rust and what not, $650 or less will do it.

But if the pan say needs welding to replace floor pan rust, or its twisted, scars from previous accidents along with bearing noise or just looks ugly man, u have every right to negociate cheaply. Cause for a professional to fix, it costs $100's

If the condition of the gearbox is unknown, cause you can not test it if it hasn't got a motor in it, u can always use that as a point of negociation to get the price lower... check the tyres its rolling on too... cause if they were the original ones with the car when it was working, u can see what kinda servicing you need for alignments and what not from uneven wear/tear... Check oil leaks, rubber perisables, sand = salt = potential rust is another bardering thing.

Hopfully that gives ya an insight.
