Which carby choice of these 2 should I go for
Just wondering on your thoughts re these two carby choices. I have a 61 beetle, dual reliefe case 1500 single port heads. Will also have a 009
distributor and 1 5/8 exhausts.

so its a 15 or 1600 capacity then ???
with single ports heads you will be over carbing the engine you need to swap to twin port to use those carbies
Although the twin 34s would be nice and wont require stuffing around welding the mainifolds and cutting etc etc

Thanks for the reply and as to my engine, I am only going on what I was told as I am new to vw's. The case is definately a dual relief and it has
single port heads, so I was told that it must be a 1500. Please correct this if it is wrong.
I'm not sure what you meant about the welding and stuffing around, but the 34's will bolt straight on and I would be single port manifolds to suit
the other option.
Again, please correct me if my thinking is wrong.

just read your reply re exhaust. I was going to buy new 1 5/8 heater boxes so as they will used for the future motor - injected turbo when money
allows

i understand what ur saying about future upgrades
but a stockish single port with a 1 5/8" header will be a pig of a thing and not run real happy
u would be better off buying a 1 3/8" with a quiet pack and selling that later when u upgrade ur motor down the track
its not hard to move performance parts
ive sold a few of my old extractor systems on ebay b4 they always sell

Neither option, save your money and start collecting parts for your long term goal the turbo motor.
