69/70 Early bay for sale - Resto needed

It has a pop top in it - needs converting to sunroof or a new one.

It has a twin port 1600 in it - turns over and I am pretty sure it runs as it was driven to where it last layed to rest.

Brakes seems to be there, which is a good sign.

Has been off the road for at least 5 years.

Its complete with front seats, glass doors etc

The kombi has various rust issues as expected from this period.

The main ones.

Lower front nose inner and outer
Driver side outer sill and maybe other side
Driver side step
Smallish hole in front floor.
It also has a few holes in the rear quarter panels above where the bumper sits (in line with the battery tray) - no suprises.

I have already cut a bit of rust out and started the ball rolling but havent really made much progress except to work out how much rust there is.

I am selling because I am heading on a long trip back to England and I have a few other splits that are going into storage and no room for this poor beast.

I have restored several Kombis over the years and can answer most questions so fire away, but if your serious probably best to call me on 0405 918256. The Kombi is based on the Sunshine coast.

I know that the early kombis are more desirable but it has a few issues and therefore I will take offers over $1200 but it would be ideal if whoever buys it could come and get it end of this week!

It needs a full resto and is not for the faint hearted - but needs a good home.

Cheers

Dozza

It is a solid bus - early metal - the panels have a few dents here and there but it is straight in the important bits....
