Good day at my first jambo today.
1st run 13.8 @ 93
2nd was a shocker when I neglected to use 2nd and 3rd although picked up 2 tenths on the 60 ft and did my first wheelie.
3rd run 13.6 @ 96mph which is my fastest speed even with the Turbo motor. This came after drilling the mains to 145 from 140. Still could use a bit more. Thanks to Marcus and Pagey for the drills.
Dial in tomorrow will be 13.4 I think.

Had a ball at Warwick with the NA 1915. Best run of the weekend was 8.41 @ 80.07mph.
All other runs within a few mph.

Must give a big thanks to Dangerous Dave Butler for his help and encouragement and unquestionable machining abilities.
Have a look at the crank pics to for a small taste of his capabilities.

Thanks also to all the other racers both at Jambo and Warwick. Jambo was on the bucket list.

See you in Sydney

Some info back on page 10 on the heads. Just some leftovers.
They are not the best choice for this application, but will do!

Well rather than watch the same tragic scenes over and over on CNN, as its the only English channel we can get, I thought I'd add an update as it's the only thing I can do at the moment and everybody else is hard at it.

The first thing you will notice is the addition of an awning to the back of the car to keep the rain off and also doubles as a shelf.

I'm going to run the Turbo motor in Sydney but last time I ran it it sucked the rocker cover gaskets in. Hopefully this has since been rectified by the addition of bolt on covers. Other changes prior to Sydney will be more weight reduction and some mods to the fuel system and plumbing. Aiming for a TnT mid to late Jan. Hopefully I can finally get a full pass in and see what the little 1641 can do. If it all turns to shit I'll run the 1916 motor.

I use to have that gasket issue with my high revin' 1776 way back in the day.... Tried bolt on covers, but they always leaked..... So fitted the OEM covers back on.... And always run Permatex #3 Gasket Sealant now.... Problem solved.

I'm running a line off each rocker cover and one off the blanking plate where the stock fuel pump was. I have a catch can with a capacity of about a litre with a large mesh breather off that. I probably need to increase the his size though.
