I've been watching all the exciting new car builds, but whats the go with Wheelie Bars? Anyone got any pics and what they're made from?

Are they just toolbox castor wheels?  What did you get the spring
section from?

I'd like to know way you think you need wheelie bars first ????.( what car , are you building , ? ) .There are a couple idea's and design's that
you can go with .

Nah - that's Gordon - he doesn't need or want wheelie bars - the bottom of the Toymota sump does the job just fine !!!
He's all about the wheelstands, not the ET's...

They probably ARE from a tool box.
Actually, the wheel is not that important.
In fact, the first set I ever made,
actually used roller blades' wheels.
This was way back when roller blades were first invented.
I put brass bushes in them however.
These wheely bars are actually one of the few things I have not made myself this time around.
Pagey had them hanging on his wall,
and I swapped an MSD dizzy for them.
No reason they could not be made however.
The top bar is steel tube,
the lower bar is 2" wide Aluminium that is 1/4" thick.
The spring is very stiff, but mounts on a collar that slides on the top tube.
In most cases you can use suspension adjustments to control wheelys.
Either more or less,
but when torque, clutch, gearing, and traction conditions can vary, it makes sense not to look like Gordon.
