If you are after a daily driver or a well handling street car - grab it
They are not sought after by the purists - so aint as collectable/valuable as an oval
They are one of the choices for a "German Looker"
Down sides
rust round rear window and down the front seam at the 1/4 pannel
steering box can be expensive if notchy
Up side
standard discs
1600
great handling and decent turning circle
cheap parts
Change the rubber bushings at the front and go for a drive!
Futue te ipsum!!!

Thanks Bizarre. Will take on board your info. Will be seeing/test drive tomorrow AM. Wasn`t aware it having discs (all round ?). Yeh, figured the rust
in usual places. As for the steering box that`s something i`ll definately check out too as i wasn`t aware they posed a problem. Thanks for the info.

Hey thugbug.
I have a 75 Lbug and recently just sold my 73 L bug. They are awsome little vw's and as Barry said, They handle great too. It is also true that they
have disc brakes, but only on the front There are good quality kits out
there to convert the rear to disc though .

Thanks ang3lholocaust. Pity this bug has come up for sale so close to the main show in Sydney. As i know there`s always a few on sale there. But
having said that, how often does a good one (family) owner come up for sale at a respectable price? Information furnished to me shows that this bug
was bought new and driven by it`s owner till about five years ago when it was passed onto a relation who has only used it as a short distance driver
since. The relation has carried out the replacements i listed and has no need anymore for the car. It`s unmolested and virtually as close to
origiinal as can be. And sighted up close and personal by a well know person who passed on the info to me. So could just be that Thug gets his
(orange) bug ! Cheers

You will find most cars over priced at the show. if this one is clean and looked after i would go for it at $2,700 for sure
