Touch-up paint advice

Whats the best way to cover up those imperfections on the paint? Had a few bumps along the way during resto and now have a couple of scratched paint spots.

I have a small tub of paint the right colour, what is the best way to cover up the little scratches? Paint brush on? Do you also gloss, or just leave it flat???
