what size tyres on 2 inch narrowed beam.

can i fit 165 wide tyres with lowish profile on a 2 inch narrowed beam and still have full steering lock without scrubbing. its on a 64 bug if that makes a diference, oh yeah there still the stock rims aswell...

you should be able to no problems.

you will however run into issues depending on how low you go ie: will scrub lip of outer guard.

so if you want to go real low then get a set of 135s or 145 smart car tyres.

if you're going low get a beam with adjusters and also get a set of dropped spindles.

hope that helps

its already lowered. and its got 135,s asswell.

only reason for 165's at the front is because the rears are 165's and they need to be the same all round 2 pass pits in W.A.

cheers

125,135,145 - does it really matter? each is a stupid as the next.

goodluck with chris. sounds like you may have to raise the car back up front and possibly rear.

I have to agree, even the 165 michelin on my borrowed car push rediculously with a 1600, big motor..... forget it.

yes they will fit perfect with the 2" narrow but it may depend on how low you are running as well

I have a 1 " narrowed 65 beam running 5.5" rims using 165 tyres mine rubs slightly on the guard lip ( with 2 people in the car ) but i have it lowered as well I am swaping back to 4.5 " rims soon

Chris,
If you're taking the car over the pits dont even think about 145s and under....they'll ask you for paperwork for the narrow beam etc etc.

Get 4 stock wheels and 4(165s)tyres and save yourself the drama....

Wayne(perth....and yes, Ive taken a ratbug over the pits before)
