1-5 Australian Flash Trim Clips Wanted

I am looking for a couple flash trim clips.I had more than enough but a couple were old and snapped so i need a couple so the trim can be nice an tight. Looking for singles or whatever you have but the most i need is 5 so i can have about 2 extra.Any help is appreciated. To my understanding the trims are being repoped, so i dont know if they made clips as well. But any help is appreciated.
Please PM me or email me at HotVolkswagenz@aol.com

**Also looking for an Australian Flying Hood Emblem/Ornament.So if you have one that you are looking to part with, i am interested.**

Please PM me or email me if you have anything at HotVolkswagenz@aol.com

Thank You
Manny

what does that mean???

If they weren't the same as beetle clips then they are probably the same as used on holdens and fords as the flashes were very popular back in the 50s & 60s..

can't you get a plastic clip to do the same thing??
try -

they have lots of old parts NOS

LOL, i knew about the arses=asses, but i was just typing away uncautiously.
I dont get into the whole rat, patina thing cause everyone has there take on what is what. Society like labeling everything now days.
I just find it easier to buy them with the time i have, and at the same time i am bitchy about having original parts on my car. If i had a Rat bug then i would make them ;) lol
Well hopefully i can source some soon.
Thanks again

You may have to make the spring clips from some small coil springs you can unwind the wire and re shape it to make the clip same as the others there very hard to find now days

VW54, The pic of the one on the bonnet is my old one and my turbo cars bonnet. I now have a couple with the 3 guages as I took a mould off the one I sold and stuck it on the cnc and modified it to take guages. Sold mine to someone in the UK. I have spare clips, PM me and we will work something out.

no literature they were an aussie invention ive seen a few around especially the 3 in 1 smiths set up
it was a common gauge in the 60ss in aussie use in several after market set ups for other makes as well.

Well to my understanding the set up like mine and turbos were originals made for VW and Porsche. I have seen literature on these. What you have, seems to be the original smiths grill with holes cut to add 2 more gauges and an added clock that fits.I can be wrong, but ive never seen anything on that set up. Maybe something and aussie "invented" and others copied, kind of like cal look one piece windows ;)

I have one of the single gauge holders, I have a few gauges and a copy of this.
I like the 3 gauge unit, very nice.

Thats the exact same brochure i seen. I have to get a copy of that one day from you Nathan.
Daves set up is different, but not original. Not something worth blowing your own horn over.

So Dave, the grill has the stamped openings on the grill for the 2 inch gauges on the sides??I cant really tell in the picture. Its definitely and original Smiths grill, but im wondering if the 2 smaller gauges were added or come original.
