two questions 2 ask

Ive just finished off my fuel system and wanted to know im running dash 8 fuel line to the carbs there 48idas i wanted to know if anyone eles is running this or seen any benefits from running such a big line the good thing i can see is that it will have very good flow to the fuel bowls and should never run out of fuel..

The second question is the new comp ratio of the engine is 10.5.1 where before it was 9.5.1 ive also upgrade the ingition system to suit but i was wondering how 98 octane will cope with the higher comp as i have never run 10.5 engines on pump gas i know it will run alot hotter but ive put in an oil cooler to try and keep the temps down the car will be used regulary on the street and drag races ...

Two questions and two answers,

I run standard fuel line size to my 48ida,s and have never had any problem with fuel delivery even with a race car .

I also run BP 98 octane fuel with a comp ratio higher than 10.5.1 and again no probs.

Cheers Col

I am the same as Colin, my comp is set at 11 to 1 and I run my car on 98 octane Caltex fuel.

I ran it on Mike's Dyno at Custom Bugs and Buses with Shell racing fuel and then 98 octane pump fuel with no difference in performance and no detonation with either.

I think the 98 is usually good, but I have had bad lots of 95 a couple of times from another brand.

no problem.
you could proberly go alittle higher.
you have plenty of overlap so it should be fine.
