Early body: late door latches?

I am about to start rebuilding my Oval/IRS street car and would like to update the door latches to 'late model' by cut/shut teh B pillar and installing door shells from a Brazil (or is it mexico?) Beetle (small pre-68 windows but late-model latches)

Who supplies these doors? On past experience of floorpans, bumpers etc etc I do not trust the fit of the late doors so wish to 'test fit' the doors to my bodyshell before I commit to cutting the B pillar.

I'd like to find someone that would allow me to test fit...

Hints/experience appreciated

Have you thought about going to bear claws?
I had the same concern about safety and installed these.
I reversed the setup on my oval and installed the latches in the B pillar instead of the door, it still needs to be finished off but you get the idea.
Cheers

Braz doors are what your after, but they use late interior trigger, although probably an easyish mod to go early. H & M Ferman in Syd had them. Need to check these days. The body crease doesn't change as far as I can remember, had a mate do this way back

hey thanks lads, I will check out Fermans; maybe Tooleys has some

Was it Alex's 'race' Oval that had the late doors?
I'll contact him for a few more hints

Glen

I am pretty sure you can buy just the Brazilian outter door skins and replace that if you carnt find a Braz door

you will probally find the outer skin has rust and needs repair anyway
