VWRX at another car show...
A few pics from today at the Shannons car show in Darwin which is a 2 day event.
Horrible pics by my average camera...yes, the interior is red...probably washed out by the intense spotlighting. Will post more when a mate takes some
for me tomorrow.

Awesome dude! No wonder the car took out 7 trophies last time, and your effort with presentation makes all the diference. Look at some of the cars in
the background... no effort made at all. Car parked and thats it!

Display looked tops dude, very well done. That little bit of extra effort you put in really makes it stand out.
And only about 2 other dubs at the whole show.
One was part of the local Volkswagen dealership display, one done up as a mud racer, other than those two... I can't think of another.

It has to be said that this sort of attitude is exactly what pisses me off about car forums!
You think you are being clever - but you guys will have all done something that someone else has done anyway.
Mate I'm going to get one anyway - so that buggers your exclusivity.

No need for hostility dude...was only a light hearted comment made by Dumone...
I got mine from VW parts. They aren't being made any more but you could get in touch with JVL Racing on the forum as he has the moulds.
One reason they weren't continually made I'm guessing was lack of sales...
Anywaysm good luck getting one

Apologies to you Reub - and I do not like to bring down the town of a thread.
Although my status labels me a newbie - I have been into the Dub scene for a quite a while now, and I have to say I have seen/met/come across more
people with crap attitude than should be. Those that go to a show, only to then bag out another persons ride for instance. I have seen plenty of
cars that I admit are not to my taste, but the point is they make the effort to join in.
In my time I have also come across a few that seem to delight in having "exclusive" rights. But lets face it - if it is a popular mod, everyone
will find a way to do it as well.
Anyway - keep it up Reubs, that is a great looking car you have built. Thanks for the contact on the mould - I'll see what happens.
Cheers.

Hey mate. I've visited this thread a number of times to look at your ride. Just gorgeous. I just wanted to throw that it because you mentioned you
were enjoying the comments and I didn't take the time to make one before. I just love the red interior. This is a seriously bold statement.
If I might ask - what is the set up there you have with your headlights? I really like the look of those surrounds with what I'm guessing is a sealed
beam lamp? Where did you get them?

Pics before I bought the car...
It is an interesting comparision looking back at the car before I purchased it from Laurie...
These photos were taken by a mate who was on holiday in Brissie on the 3rd September 2002 when Laurie offered the car to me. To be really honest I
don't know what the hell I was thinking when I bought it... the build certainly was more then a bit of grinding, a bit of filler, paint and an
interior that is for sure!
