Dash wiring on 72 square

Just removed my old speedo and fuel gauge to replace with old type and am having trouble re-wiring. Looked simple so didnt write it down. If any one knows can you please tell me what goes where.

thanks

I won't ask why you did it! From memory, the 72 had the indicator lights.......... left and right in the speedo whereas the early one has them in the fuel gauge. You need only a single wire to the fuel gauge indicator lights as they both come on whichever direction you are turning.

Have you got the wiring diagrams for both types. If not, look here:

Wasn't sure on that diagram when I looked again for the 72. It is showing that the indicator warning lights are in the fuel gauge but I thought they were different in out 72 models with them in the speedo. Too many years back since I owned one (1984). Maybe someone else has the later wiring diagram with the later gauges to double check for you.
