WOOFARTUNED '73 PANEL
Picked this up a little while ago.
No motor, 1600 box, almost no rust, lots of hay in the back, & nice faded paint.

Has had passenger side windows cut in - yuk

Lots to do but wont be a show-pony.
More photos soon.

Made these.
I've never lowered a car using drop plates before.
Always pulled and turned the spring plates.

All bolted up easily. Looks like a gasser!!
Adjusters in the beam next.

gasser style all the way,i remember when i did the straight axle conversion in my bus it also sat like that, and i couldn't see the cars behind me in
the rearview mirror all i could see was the road
with the power of that engine and the stance you should be able to do wheel stands,go do some wheel stands and post some photos before yu dump the
front

Lowered beam is now fitted & some klms put on the revised running gear.
The 1600 box doesn't give a good topend speed - flatout is 140kph, but it gets there sooooo fast!
I've dropped the 1600 box in favour of a 2lt unit. Test runs have shown me the van will pull from about 25kph in top gear to almost 150. I can tack
off in 2nd gear, change to 4th and sit back. Still revs to hard at 110 so I've ditched the 16inch alloys and now fitted benz rims with 235 75/r15 on
the rear & 205 70/r15 on the front.
Have had to stretch the rear guards a little though......

The rear has been lowered 85mm. There is about 10mm clearance now and no sign of rubbing.

Gave the rims a coat of paint. Tyre diameter fills the guard opening with no scubbing.
Replaced the original front swaybar for a 24mm Whiteline unit.
I have a rear swaybar but need to relocate the radiator pipes to fit it.
