Thanks for the posts, all is working out fine so far. I made some rear guards last week, tell me what you think. I am trying to use just parts from the original beetle, so you don't need to buy too much to build it.

This is the template!

Almost taken all the paint off now, I will post some more photo's soon.

This Post is keeping me motivated to get the job done, so any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.

The head light brackets I've made, work and fit in with Australian regulations, I'll post some pics for you. I may change this later

Tops work mate. When does the cutting and chopping begin? Once the body is back on pan?

Hey Justin, that extra body you bought, looks very much like the one I sold last year. It's good to see it going to good use.

are you going to be putting a beam extension in rene?
If so will it be imported or will you build yourself?
Will it be legal in all states?, keep up the good work but stop going away:cool:

Hi all,

The car will be road legal in all states!

No beam extension, as I can't get it legal yet.

No chopping until the body is back on the pan.

Cheers

Fuel tank before I paint it.

Not sure what colour to paint it yet?

Maybe Gloss black or keep it Matt black?

I'm doing the best I can!

Here are some more pics.

Might do the wiring next, might put some mood lighting, red undercars? and some red interior lighting.
