Anyone know of the price range for sandblasting whole body ?
As well as a total paint job one colour including undercoat ?

Bare metal respray $3k and up ....

In terms of blasting, although this guy works from the gold coast so nowhere near you, it gives you a bit of a breakdown on prices.

Respray - $3K to $20K (depends on quality of vehicle, rust repair requried (including if its done properly or not), current panel damage, materials
chosen (varies considerably with quality), as well as many other variables). It is a very hard question to answer "how much will it cost to paint my
car?" especially before its blasted and its not in front of you to have a thorough look over.

The most cost effective method I have found and safest on avoiding damage/warpage to big panels is to use paint stripper. Leave the hard to do bits
for the media blaster eg edges, boot area, engine bay etc. or very rusty bits.
Ive found sandblasting really harsh and pits the steel but soda and media blasting safer but does cost a little more.

Dont sandblast, bead or sodablast a whole lot better,you can take off just the layers that you need too and it is a whole lot easier on you metal,
have a look in your local yellow pages online

Definately don't sand blast, way to rough on panels, also don't soda blast as the media is salt based and we all know what salt does to metal!!!!
Media blast is probably the safest, garnet for the door jams etc, and plastic for the panels.
Check out a job that the blaster has done cause even with the "right" media they can still warp panels if they use to much pressure or focus on an
area to much which then causes the panel to heat up and warp.

DONT sand blast, unless you know of the guys skills stay away from that method.
I have just had my Oval done by a guy in Adealaide called Minus paints, he dips the car in a Alkaline solutions which strips the paint off and any bog
, it also eats off any shitty bits around the rust so you get to se what you are working with. then you can have it etched like I did. i think worse
senario is $1600 but it all depends I think on how much car you get done and how many coates of paint it has on it. Mate it makes working on the car
heaven, clean easy to weld metal, helps to find all the faults. I luv it. couple of B4 and After shots attached
