Just buy original type rubbers

You can use the originals..

so long as you don't buy Cal Look rubbers...
these have no grooves for the aluminium strips...

Late beetles had a chromed plastic strip...
I saw these in a USA website yesterday and they cost
$25US per window.. $100 a car.... Yikes..

I still have all My aluminium strips, I always thought they were too hard to fit..
but My Son says they are easy....

PS: maybe next time..

you have to fit the rubber to the glass then the trim to the rubber then the assy into the car
yes takes a bit of stuff around I like doing them especially the stainless trims the alloy trims bend so easy you can stuff them just by looking the wrong way  but time and patience is the order

Where are you located ????
