Some pics from the weekend (garage crawl/cruise)
On the weekend a mate and I organised a run with a couple of guys from the ozrdodders forum (the date was booked in before I heard about Dino's show
). We hit a couple of sheds, then cruised up to Wisemans Ferry Pub
for lunch, it was a great day Here's some pics:
My mate's '37 Chev sedan project. Still in the early stages, but shapin up nicely.
check out that food! Mmmmmm...
We even had step by step instructions for people
Soon enough it was time to head over to the second garage
Waiting at a set of lights
Cool garden art out the front of the shed.
Everyone checks out the Vauxhall project he is building, with a Chev V6.
Its sure looking good.
He's got a stocker too. Original paint, 3rd owner, only rust is in
the rear gaurd, and its the size of a 50c coin.
Another project hiding in the corner.
This should give you some idea where its headed - looks like fun!
I took the opportunity to grab some pics of the cars in attendance, out the front.
and a few more
The cold weather and wind closed in, and the tummies started to rumble, it was a sure sign to make a break for the pub.
So then we hit the road again
If the step by step directions didnt work for you, you could always just follow the big signs
A nice Torrie we passed on the way
The twisty stuff was fun
But getting caught behind the L plater was less so...
After this point in time, we arrived at the pub. Taking pictures took a back seat to tastey steak and a bourbon - Im sure you'll understand!
After lunch, a few drinks and plenty of chatting we all made our own
ways home.
I made a few stops on the way home for some photography. This is a lookout we passed on the way to the pub. I could lie and say its the Wisemans
Ferry, but its actually just around the corner to the right.
Zoomed in
And I stopped for some cool shots with the bug on the way home too. First up the same lookout. Im probably not supposed to park there!
Stopped for a sunset shot
And another stop for some cool shots
It was a really good day, and was very wife/kid freindly because we didnt spend too much time in any one particular spot so noone got bored

No idea! The project in the shed is being made from the same mould as the red car pictured (the mould had been sitting in a paddock for years, so none
of it lined up!). From what I can recall, Bert Jones was heavily involved in dirt-track racing.
If you're interested in vintage speedway you should check out the upcoming open day @ Brian Linigen's place 21st September (there's a run down on
his collection in the current Street Machine).
